Your heart cries when an army jawan loses his life on the border. Yet, you remain indifferent to the thousands of traffic cops who risk their lives to make your life convenient, To drive the message home, actor-philanthropist Vivek Oberoi, Kalki Koechlin, Vir Das, Swara Bhaskar and Govind Namdev came together for a hard-hitting
video that makes you question your conduct towards traffic cops and force you to think, Titled Hawa Badlo, the screening of the award winning short film highlighting the issue of air pollution in collaboration with Vivek’s ONE foundation and GAIL (Gas Authority of India Limited) was held today across PVR chains. Spotted at the event were vivek Oberoi and Swara Bhaskar along with Milind Bharambe (Joint Commissioner of Mumbai Police.)
Vivek Says, ”Whenever we look at the traffic cops, we feel that they are not doing their work properly, they will be corrupt but did we ever think what they are going through? They bare pollution and breathe it continuously which is very contagious to their lungs but we never think about them and their family. They don’t have a lavish life like
sitting in an air conditioned car, All I want us to do is – respect them. When we thought about the idea of masks, Gas Authority of India and Mumbai Police showed us a great support. I always keep telling to my 4 year old son that whenever you look at the cop, just smile at him. Now, whenever he is with me and looks at the cop, he smiles at them and salute”.
