Ganpati festival is huge in Mumbai. This year Ganesh Chaturthi is on August 31 and the city is getting ready to celebrate it in a big way after two-and-a-half years of Covid related restrictions. The spirits are high, and celebrities too have made their plans. They talk about the festival, bringing Ganapati home, their wishes for this year and how and why people should be careful because even though cases have gone down but the virus is still there and we have no full-proof cure. We keep Ganpati for one day, make his fav food and donate it to poor people. We will visit pandals for darshan this year. It’s gonna be fun to see the real Ganpati vibe after two years. I have to be careful. I think we have already been immune from the past two years, but prevention is better than cure. I know the deep spiritual meaning of Bappa. He basically brings our conscious and
subconscious minds in sync, and when it’s synced u achieve success. I want him to bless me so that my wishes are fulfilled without any emotional and mental blocks and all my projects get appreciated.

Absolutely, right now after 2 years and this time there is no restriction. We all are very excited as these 2 years I have not gotten ganpati at my place too. Every year we bring it for 3 days but this time we are bringing it for 5 days. I think we should not be worried about covid. I think if you eat well, sleep well and are spiritually happy then from outside nothing can attack you physically. You should be mentally strong. I think there will be more guests this year as compared to last year. We can go freely to seek Bappa’s blessings as from the last 2 years it was not allowed because of covid. Bappa brings a lot of positivity and you can feel it. Energy is really positive, vibrant and it’s in the air that if anybody comes and takes Bappa’s blessings they will be mesmerised. Just like everyone wants to see Burj Khalifa and Eiffel Tower they also want to see Ganpati festival of Maharashtra. I will pray for my family and my loved ones.

We as a family really look forward to this festival. My brother keeps Ganpati at his home and keeps it for 3 days. It’s a great time when everybody comes together and it’s a great time that you connect to friends, family and relatives. In our culture festivals are made in such a way that everyone comes together and enjoys it. People reunite and share their joys and love with each other. Covid is less and as long as people are taking precautions we can beat covid. I don’t think covid can keep social animals apart. I just want bappa to keep blessings with us. We just hope that everything goes well. Everything falls in place when Ganpati is around.

I personally feel that whenever Ganpati Bappa comes the energy around you becomes really positive and I personally enjoy going to Ganpati Mandap to take Bappa’s blessings. Festivals are a really important part of our culture. It brings the whole family together and the energy is so positive and everyone is really happy. Ganesha helps to remove all the obstacles which are there in your path. Lord Ganesh is our mentor and protector. May he enrich your life by always giving you great beginnings. Ukadiche modak is my favourite prasad and it is Ganesha’s favourite too. I pray for world peace and good health for everyone.
