Mumbai: Mercedes-Benz India has announced a new suite of customer-centric service initiatives aimed at redefining the luxury car ownership experience in India. The latest offerings focus on transparency, technology, convenience and optimized ownership costs, while strengthening the brand’s premium after-sales service ecosystem.

At the centre of the new initiatives is Service Select, a program designed to optimize the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for Mercedes-Benz vehicles that are seven years and older. Customers can benefit from savings of up to 25% on select parts, along with benefits including Mobilio Light and a two-year warranty on eligible parts, while expert service helps protect the vehicle’s residual value.
The company has also introduced India’s first AI-powered automated Vehicle Scanner at the Landmark Cars service facility in Jogeshwari, Mumbai. The technology uses the XENTRY Scanner to create a comprehensive 360-degree digital assessment of a vehicle’s exterior condition, providing customers with greater transparency and a faster inspection experience.
The AI-powered system can automatically identify and mark visible vehicle damage through high-resolution images, significantly reducing inspection time. Customers can also witness the assessment and access real-time vehicle information, strengthening trust and transparency throughout the service process.
Key capabilities of the Vehicle Scanner include:
– 360-degree automated vehicle assessment
– AI-powered exterior damage detection
– High-resolution digital imaging
– Tyre and vehicle intelligence
– Instant scanning
– Automated inspection for greater efficiency
– Identity and privacy protection
The Vehicle Scanner is already operational in several international markets, including Germany, Italy, Korea, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Turkey.
Commenting on the new initiatives, Santosh Iyer, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India, said:
«“We aspire to be the ‘Mercedes of Service’ by questioning the status quo, challenging the existing servicing norms and steadily integrating AI and latest technology in creating customer convenience.”»
He added that Mercedes-Benz India is continuously working to improve service efficiency and create additional value at every customer touchpoint by optimizing the overall cost of ownership.
