And now, the Indian box office is gearing up for the second release of the year and the audience can’t keep calm. We are talking about Siddharth Anand directorial Fighter starring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor and Karan Singh Grover. It happens to be an aerial action drama and has been one of the most anticipated releases of the year.
From the teaser to trailer, posters to songs, everything about Fighter has been making the headlines. And while it is just a week left before the release of Fighter, speculations have begun about how Fighter will fare at the box office. After all, it is one of the biggest releases of the year and is coming with a great ensemble of cast.
Well, according to a report published in Koimoi, Fighter is expected to make an opening day collection of Rs 25-30 crores at the box office. While the official numbers will be out after release, if the reports turned out to be true, Fighter will emerge as the highest opener of 2024 so far. This isn’t all. It will be Hrithik and Deepika’s second highest opener in a decade. Yes! While Deepika’s 2023 release Pathaan has been her highest opener with a collection of Rs 74 crores while 2019 release War was Hrithik’s highest opener with a collection of Rs 53.35 crores.
It will be interesting to see how Fighter will fare at the box office post release. To note, this Siddharth Anand directorial marks Hrithik’s first collaboration with Deepika and their sizzling chemistry has already been winning hearts. Talking about Fighter, Siddharth Anand stated during the trailer launch, “Come on January 25 to cheer and love the film. We have given it our all. It is not an easy film. I’ve made a decent amount of action films but this has been another journey altogether”
